Bead Mix #1
This is a photo I took of a mix of beads put together, to
create my next piece, what that may be, I am not yet sure. I seem to take a
while to finish projects , I need to ponder ideas through my head and process them.
I thought it would be a good idea to put a before and after photo of the items
I create. I picked these colors as they seemed to warm to me, since fall is
here and winter on the way, thoughts of autumn and Thanksgiving seem to be on
my mind. I will post the after photo as soon as I am done with this piece. Till
next time…
Turquoise Bracelet

I have been really fond of turquoise lately and I found some
loose turquoise beads that had been long forgotten, so I decided to create a bracelet.
This turquoise bracelet is accompanied by Sterling Silver round spacer beads and
also features a Sterling Silver hook and eye clasp. The turquoise beads are
approximately 1 inch long and 1/2 inches wide, each stone has a very different
brown/black matrix throughout and has more of a rough than smooth finish.
Turquoise is lucky and is carried around to attract good fortune. Stones energy
promotes protection, courage, money, love and luck. Both materials used have a
receptive energy and when given as a gift, it is said to; bestow wealth and
happiness upon receiver.

Labradorite Bracelet

"Labradorite is a mineral that occurs in metamorphic or igneous rocks. Labradorite is a variety of the mineral feldspar; other feldspar stones include sunstone and moonstone. According to the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, "The minerals in the feldspar family make up more than half of the Earth's rocky crust." Spectrolite is the most sought after type of labradorite and comes from Finland. Labradorite is considered a minor gemstone since it is readily available and hard to use. Although the color of the stone is silver gray, the stone displays an array of colors according to the angle of light refraction. Labradorite exhibits red, orange, blue, green, violet, and yellow when the stone is turned in light. The iridescence comes from light diffracting off closely spaced calcium and sodium layers of the crystal and is commonly referred to as "labradorescence" or "schiller." Labradorite has a very metallic look with a dark to light smoky gray background. Its hardness on the Mohs scale is 6 to 6.5.
Labradorite is naturally found in Canada, where the stones’ name originated from, being found in the Labrador Penisula in 1770. Labradorite has also been found in other places such as Madagascar, Finland (where the trade name is called spectrolite), Russia, Australia, Mexico, Norway, and United States.
Labradorite’s attributes are the ability to dispel negativity and provide clarity of thought. It is a grounding stone and focusing on a piece of labradorite can help you enter and maintain a meditative state. Labradorite represents the "Temple of Stars”, bringing the wisdom of worlds, universes, and planetary beings to the wearer."

Time
Time sure flies, when you are having fun, or so they say, but fun this has not been. It has been a lot more work then I originally thought, I had big plans for this blog and time has sure slipped away, so now back to implementing my original idea, a jewlery blog. I have created a list of items that must be accomplished in order to get my jewelry blog running at optimal pace and to get the best out of my marketing tool, I am trying to create. Here is a list of items I have so far accomplished; Workspace has been organized and is now ready to create new jewelry pieces, blog site is created and software understood (the company decided to upgrade software as soon as I learned the old software, so this took a lot more time then I planned for.), Etsy account created and ready for product listings. Now, I am ready to blog more enthusiastically, as I am planning to keep my blog as advertisment for my original jewelry that I will be creating, I am now down to only a few more items to check off from my to do list. The last few things that need to be accomplished are as follows; open a checking account for Earthly Aura’s, which is needed to open the paypal account, which is needed for any sales to happen through my etsy account, get all jewelry photographed and placed on etsy account and finally we will be ready to open. At that time, I will then send out mass emails to inform my audience of Earthly Aura’s new jewelry blog and sales outlet. If you are interested in receiving emails please sign-up as a member of my blog (which is on the right side under inspiring quotes).
Till next time...
